Pasar Bandeng Festive
Ahead of EidThe Pasar Bandeng Festive is one of the most anticipated annual traditions in Gresik, especially ahead of Eid al-Fitr. This festival is a unique event where farmed milkfish from local breeders are auctioned off, creating a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere.

Badoghan Festival
Year EndThe Badoghan Festival is an annual celebration usually held at the end of the year, aimed at strengthening the bond between village residents and local fishermen. In this festival, the catch from local fishermen is prepared and served as part of a tradition of sharing and togetherness. This event was initiated by students from the University of Muhammadiyah Malang in collaboration with Pokdarwis (Tourism Awareness Group), as an effort to build social ties and revive community-based tourism potential.

- Colossal cultural performances showcasing local traditions
- Over 60 culinary and cultural tenants
- Participation from 5 urban villages: Kroman, Sukodono, Pekelingan, Kemuteran, and Kramatinggil

Exhibition
The city of Gresik is known as a trading city, a city of Islamic students (santri), and an industrial city. However, behind these dynamics lie historical spaces that preserve extraordinary cultural wealth—one of which is Kampung Kemasan, an old district that was once a meeting point for merchants, craftsmen, and settlers from various ethnic backgrounds.
In this spirit, Kampung Kemasan will host MTN Lab (National Talent Management Lab) from September 1-14, 2025, an initiative program by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. Dozens of artists from various regions will gather, live together, and collaborate in a creative space rich in history and cultural identity.

Activity Series
For two weeks, participants will engage in various activities such as residencies, work incubations, workshops, and masterclasses. This process focuses not only on developing artistic skills but also on how art interacts with community life and the history of the surrounding space.
MTN Lab also features film workshops with local communities, curatorial discussions, and exhibition preparations that enrich the experience of young artists in building their future career paths.
Space of Affirmation & Inspiration
This program serves as an important platform for young artists to grow and gain direct experience from practitioners. Additionally, MTN Lab acts as an affirmative space for local talent, including artists from Gresik who participate across various mediums such as painting, crafts, and community-based arts.
More than just an exhibition, the Art & Culture Exhibition in Kampung Kemasan presents a new way to look at the city—how architecture, daily life, and local culture become sources of artistic inspiration. From Kampung Kemasan, this creative spirit then spreads to various other cities in Indonesia.
